The territory of the Sumy region accounts for approximately 3.9% of Ukraine’s area. Agricultural land occupies 1,700 thousand hectares, with more than half allocated for fields. The region’s waters are mainly represented by typical, leached, and other varieties of chernozems, sod-leached, light gray, gray, and dark gray forest soils. The soil is favorable for growing most crops of the temperate zone, as well as for organic production.

The relief of the region is represented by a hilly plain, with slopes towards the river valleys. The moderate continental climate and fertile soils provide high yields of cereals (corn, winter wheat and rye, spring wheat, spring barley, and oats); grains (buckwheat and millet); and leguminous crops (peas, beans, vetch, and sweet lupin). A portion of the arable land is occupied by vegetables. They are located in the Romny region (especially in the southwest), Konotop region, and Sumy region.

Due to the climatic features, soil fertility, and territorial location, the land for sale in the Sumy region does not decrease in price.
